AOC LLC has installed a new reactor making thermoset vinyl ester resins at its plant in Lakeland, Fla.
The high-performance reactor “underscores AOC’s commitment to the growing corrosion-resistant composite market, which relies on the unique properties of vinyl ester resins,” officials with Collierville, Tenn.-based AOC said in a March 18 news release.
AOC’s vinyl ester resins meet customer specifications for a range of applications, including water and wastewater treatment, marine, industrial tanks and pipes, and chemical processing, they added. Installation of the reactor began more than a year ago, with resin production beginning earlier this month.
In addition to vinyl esters, AOC makes gel coats, colorants and dispersions for composites and cast polymers. | |
